I didn't mean to sound too harsh but it's not the case of just one batch of balls.

Virtually everyone who I have played with and against has commented on how poor the balls have been and frankly someone has to take responsibility....

i wouldnt go that far, no one know how balls would perform. Its hardly an individuals fault. Im mearly suggesting we should go back to the crusader or use a readers make of ball as i find them to be good quality no matter the price of the ball.

Ive given my feed back through the proper channels as had been requested. I was mealy asking if any one else had problems or was the batch that i was supplied....

Too true, the balls are a disgrace.

The game is meant to be an even contest between bat and ball!

Would be nice if whoever chose the balls we use now would like to come on here and comment on their performance and front-up?...

Ecb has the ideal soloution in place, play cricket, all scorecards can be input online by the home team, league tables updates automatically. I believe you can easily manage play registrations as well.
Works well for the wimborne evening league. The Hampshire cricket league would be a good example. We have been thinking for a couple of years about moving leagues, as it seems a better run league. But decided againist as were based in dorset so should play in the dorset league.

I pesonally tend to use the...

I hope my previous posting didn't cause offence. Although it was strongly worded it was not meant personally. However there are two points here which I will attempt to answer one by one.

(1) I would be happy to engage in designing an online web-based solution where club reps can log in and insert their results directly onto the website.

(2) I would also be more than happy to put myself forward to manage the results as your post seems to be challenging me to.

However, seeing as you have the benefit ...

I believe that there may be a vacancy for Results Officer coming up.

Any volunteers?? How would you do things differently??...

It's the usual shambles from the Dorset Cricket League - maybe they should look at how their Hampshire cousins cope with more teams, more divisions and more games......

Yep, divi 1 team.
Uni players not available for the first 6 weeks, the Lewis brothers not able to play.
The plans are for them to re-enter the league next year.

Although, we may gain a man or two for Saturdays! :)...
